GPDR’s Work
Uruguay is distinct from other regions vis-à -vis its populace, density as well as socio-economic development, health, industrialization, etc. What the GPDR is focusing on is the country’s least developed areas, most notably its northern ranching developments along Brazil’s border (Artigas, Rivera, and Cerro Largo, and Tacuarembó). The ultimate aim of the GPDR is to establish sustainable economic growth nationwide for the country, which will lead to each city to be able to attain their own personal economic goals.
In addition, the GPDR is focused on the social welfare of Uruguay. Again, by providing them with the tools, it hopes to facilitate social development throughout the country, by putting the cities in charge of their own goals, but giving them the necessary resources to acquiesce this.
